![]() ![]() Now, it is the case that IF and ONLY IF the expression is both defined and continuous at the limiting value, then the limit can be found just by plugging in the limiting value. ![]() So, as you get closer and closer to x=0, clearly this is heading toward infinity. You would not plug in x = 0, you would examine what happens when you get extremely close to x=0. The whole point in bothering with limits is finding ways of getting values that you cannot directly compute (usually division by 0 or other undefined or indeterminate forms). The limit is what you would be approaching as you got extremely close to, but not equal to, the limiting value. A limit is NOT what you would get if you actually did the math of the expression at the limiting value. What sounds like a very generic and tired premise, Amnesia manages to pull off very effectively. The narrative unfolds through a series of auditory flashbacks and diary entries you find along the way. You awaken in a dimly lit castle, a grotesquely beautiful and intricate structure that, with its constant bellows and creaking and the ghostly cries that haunt the hallways, seems to be just as aware of you as you are of it. In Amnesia, you take on the role of Daniel, a man who has-guess-lost his memories, for reasons initially unknown. ![]() Yet despite my enthusiasm, I have heard a fair share of criticism for this title, and I intend to prove why these are wrong and why you should, by all means, suffer the literally insane consequences of putting yourself through the 6-10 hour horror that is AMNESIA: THE DARK DESCENT. Not even with FG’s very own Penumbra series already under my belt was I able to prepare myself for the sheer panic I felt wandering the dark corridors of this game. Of course, I expected no less from its creators over at Frictional Games, who seem to be the only current game developers that truly grasp the meaning of survival horror-but good god did they exceed my expectations. Amnesia is a legitimately terrifying, brilliantly constructed (both narratively and architecturally), and dangerously immersive survival horror game that deserves every last drop of respect it has already received. In the broader scope of things, this is both an extremely obvious estimation as well as a vast understatement. Amnesia: The Dark Descent is a scary game. ![]() ![]() ![]() The AI Selector helps you discover the right sounds for your genre thanks to its AI recommendation technology. The second most used service from LANDR is distribution. Do you want to focus more on creating and less on post-production? Are you tight on budget? If you answer yes to one or all of these questions, then LANDR will satisfy your needs. That’s one of the reasons many musicians, and especially indie artists, first try to master their own tracks, then look for low-cost mastering options online. Hiring a professional mastering engineer could cost you up to $200 per track or even more, depending on the engineer’s reputation, experience, your track’s genre, and complexity. In the beginning, LANDR offered exclusively online audio mastering, but soon the company started adding more services to their roster to offer subscription plans that included mastering and distribution, plugins, sample packs, and networking tools. The company launched its automated mastering service in 2014, helping over 20 million musicians worldwide ever since. The team includes many tech lovers and music professionals, such as music producers, mastering engineers, and musicians. LANDR is the result of years of development by MixGenius, an artificial intelligence company based in Montreal. In today’s article, I’ll review LANDR and discuss its main features, benefits, cons and pros, and I will do my best to answer the main question: is LANDR worth using to master your music? If you want more details – hey, that’s probably a good call. If you want to check it out, click here to view their Studio plan (and save $50 with our affiliate link). One service that stands out among the others is LANDR: one of the first to offer online mastering services and still a popular choice among DIY musicians. Online mastering services offer quick mastering of your tracks using computer algorithms and AIs. While I always recommend musicians get an audio engineer to do the mastering to have a different point of view, online mastering services have become more and more popular over the years, offering increasingly good results for a fraction of the fee of a professional audio engineer. Mastering is the last step of music production and determines how your music will sound on all devices and streaming platforms, so it’s not an understatement when I say it’s one of the most crucial aspects of an artist’s career. ![]() ![]() ![]() The Candlelight restaurant is in a basement which is a bit gloomy, the Lady receiving us was not very welcoming, we felt an unnecessary extra, the experience in this restaurant is quite theatrical and the twin waiters were very helpful. ![]() At breakfast the offering is excellent however very much self service, having to locate basic items which should be on the breakfast table etc, the Lady helping at Breakfast was very kind, but the system could be improved to make breakfast a better experience. We availed of food in all locations in the Hotel and whilst in our option was just satisfactory, the prices encouraged us to use the local restaurants which we found more cost effective and in our opinion better quality. After I pulled up the confirmation on my phone he muttered "Our computer is slow" but no apology. He asked "Are you sure you have the right hotel?". One fault when we checked in the man couldn't find our reservation. Since the hotel was not full gave us a late checkout. Service from a lady at the front desk was very nice. Breakfast was good but not all food was ready at opening time. Luckily there are restaurants on the boardwalk and nearby hotels. The restaurants are too expensive even for resort hotel standards. Breakfast was good with all options covered including a chef to cook eggs as required. ![]() This venue is an open courtyard when the weather permits, which was lovely. There were wide ranging food options, from snacks and tapas, through burgers and sandwiches, to main meals and desserts. We used the all day casual dining extensively. There were people on hand to assist with the sun umbrellas and towels, as well as a bar and restaurant (open only for lunch). The pool and surrounding area was large, and very well kept. The bed was very good, and a pillow menu was available. We had a room with a sea view and terrace, and would recommend this class - the room was a good size for a couple, and the terrace was lovely, very generous in size, and had excellent sea views. Reception were knowledgeable and helpful about this. We selected the hotel in part because of its proximity to the Cami de Rhonda walking track, and this was ideal. The hotel is decorated with original art and furniture, and the garden is beautiful and well maintained. The hotel is an elegant building from the 1930s and the decor is in keeping with its heritage.
